How to insulate and prepare a graphics card for LN2 overclocking

A short video where I show how I insulate and prepare my graphics cards for liquid nitrogen overclocking. I use exactly the same insulation materials as I use on motherboards to prepare my cards for subzero temperatures.

Vaseline does most of the job, and it is improtant to get it everywhere, especially around the VRM components and the PCI Express slot. If the VRM area freezes if you stay at idle too long, the ice will start to melt when you put the card under load, and the water could short something that can damage the card.

If you don't use a backplate, you should tighten the pot straight and after that apply the sheets of armaflex insulation tape. If you use a backplate, then you have to put the insulation tape and paper towels before finishing the mounting of the pot.
