World's Fastest DDR3 Memory — 2900 MHz CL8 Air Demo | Patriot Viper II Sector 5

Patriot Viper II Sectror 5 2500 CL9 (PVV34G2500C9K) Memory Kit running crazy high memory speeds on the Asrock Z97 OC Formula using an Intel Core i7 4770K Haswell CPU. Scaling much higher with voltage on air than other PowerChip Semiconductor (PSC) based DDR3 memories, the kit is able to push 2850—2900MHz frequencies with 8-13-8-28 1T timings with all of the sub timings manually tuned really tight. The stability at 2850MHz is proven by running the very common and legendary Superpi 32M test with Copy Waza, and at 2900MHz the memory kit is still able to run Superpi 1M, and a few loops in Superpi 8M.

Usually PowerChip based DDR3 memories lose their stability on air after around 1.95 DRAM Voltage, but these Patriot Viper II Sector 5 sticks scale really well all the way up to 2.08v even on air cooling. Previous top speeds with similar memory type has been around 2800—2820MHz with same timings. With this memory configuration, the Patriot kit has the best overclocking performance alongside the best Samsung D-die based 8gb memory kits, that run 2800—2950MHz frequencies on air cooling, but only with CAS 9. When these are put on Liquid Nitrogen, the sticks should be able to run these same frequencies or even higher, but with CAS Latency of 6 or 5.
