Some of the Rarest DDR3 Memories - ADATA XPG Plus 2200 CL8 feat. Elpida Hyper - Overview & OC Test

I have been collecting Elpida Hyper based DDR3 Memory kits for many years now. Mostly I have been sticking to Corsair Dominator based kits as they have been by far the best performing Hypers all around. There are however, some decent kits from other vendors as well, like G.SKill, Kingston, OCZ and even ADATA.

The 2200 CL8 XPG Plus from ADATA was their highest bin of this line of memory. It has a voltage rating of 1.55-1.75v for 8-8-8-24 timings at DDR3-2200MHz. It has some of the most unique heatsink designs of the time, with very tall heatpipe coming above the heatsink with large aluminium fins. Bad for compatibility, but very good looks.

On the video I take a look at the kit in close look, talk a little bit about Elpida Hypers in general, and what kind of numbers I'm looking for. Then I test the sticks individually on the ASUS Rampage Extreme with E8600.
