This museum showed me how the Nazi dictatorship banned artists from expressing themselves by cancelling them, by labeling them as degenerates, and if they are Jewish, by banishing them to the concentration camps to die. Their totalitarian craziness also resulted in burning books (just across the street between Humboldt University and the Berlin State Opera) of Einstein, Hemingway, Freud, Tolstoy, Hugo, (I said Marie and Pierre Curie but I was not sure, please check..) and other writers and scientists of the time.

We can all draw parallels to what is currently happening to this present day where the GOP/ Fox News/ putin/ clown orange with lips/ misinformation campaigns/ social media troll armies/ bloggers who don't have a concept of what Journalism is, are all busy disseminating falsehoods with a goal of manipulating people by distorting History and Science. It is modern day madness and we all need to nip it in the bud.
