00:00 Intro - We are going to start this tour at the Opera Bastille and watch ballet, A Midsummer Night's Dream. I booked the ticket online a few months in advance to get good seats for my Mom and I.
09:43 Galeries Lafayette Rooftop. One of the best views of Paris.
11:04 Bonbon Cha. Yummy boba! We had taro bubble tea, It was good and I love that they use paper straws.
13:33 Opera Garnier / Palais Garnier, I reserved a couple of first row seats for my Mom and I to see Platée, a comic opera by Jean-Philippe Rameau, It was fun! We don't speak French but they have a small screen on top of the stage for subtitles. The beautiful opera house was a bonus, we get to roam around before the show, I love the Chagall ceiling, and if you want good seats make sure to book everything at least 2-3 months in advance. If you are going to order a program, make sure to print the receipts at home, we (and quite a few people) had to do a u-turn to the secretary's desk for help in printing because I only have digital copies in my phone.
27:37 Grand Cafe Capucines. Brasserie and Seafood galore! They are open everyday from 7am-1am, and up until 2 am every Friday and Saturday. The food was good! Pretty good Selection of drinks and food! Too bad, they ran out of onion soup. We had escargot, lamb, foies gras, and fish with Sauternes. Very good! You can never go wrong with Sauternes. If you are in France, try Sauternes, only a handful of wineries make Sauternes. It's rare, sweet like honey, slightly acidic and earthy, notes of ginger and fruits, perfect as aperitif and pairs well with anything. You're welcome.
