Robert Clothier
Robert Clothier (1921-99) was born in Prince Rupert BC, and received the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service as a bomber pilot in World War II. After recovering from a plane crash, he studied architecture at UBC while appearing with the Players Club under Dorothy Somerset and Sydney Risk, then pursued further training in England at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Although he had a very successful stage career, his best-known role was Relic in the long-running TV series The Beachcombers.
