Thor Arngrim Part One
Thor Arngrim (1928-2009) was born in Saskatchewan and grew up there and in Campbell River BC. In 1945 he moved to Vancouver and was soon involved in its very busy amateur theatre scene. In 1951, with his friend Stuart Baker, he founded Totem Theatre, a professional company that was an important precursor to the Canadian regional theatre network. In the 1960s, his acting career was gradually eclipsed by his success as a personal manager, with clients including Liberace, Debbie Reynolds, and his children Stefan Arngrim and Alison Arngrim.
