Fastest LGA775 System in The World - Sub 7-Minute Run in Super PI 32M & Rampage Extreme at 710 FSB

I wanted to give my best E8600 yet another go in Super PI 32M as many of you wanted to see the world's first sub 7-minute run for LGA775 platform. It was incredibly hard, and I had to change between my 2 best Rampage Extreme motherboards, but I finally managed to go below 7 minutes twice.

The first run was around 6 minutes 59.5 seconds and this better one was 6 minutes 56.484 seconds, around 9 seconds faster than the Rank #2 score by Sam.OCX. This is definitely a result that will last a lifetime, unless I manage to beat it myself at some point.

This achievement is dedicated to the entire legacy overclocking crowd at HWBOT.org, like Sam.OCX, Tagg, Ground, Gigelz, Terra Raptor, ObscureParadox and others.

With my last few liters of LN2 I wanted to try the maximum reference frequency with my best Rampage Extreme. To my surprise, it was crazy hard to do any overclocking in Windows, so it was easiest to boot the desired FSB from the BIOS and validate it. I manged to validate both 705 and flat 710MHz, so I'm 0.3MHz below the Rank #1 score by SF3D. Will get it next time!
