Tech Tools Tuesday: 6 Tools I use daily as a backline/drum tech!

After I started my job as a backline tech in January of 2023, the types of tools I started to carry changed because of what I needed daily as a warehouse and show tech.

For me, it just started with the basic stuff that I use daily like a basic knife, flashlight, and drum key.

Before I knew it, my daily carry grew from the first four things I mentioned into about five key things I don’t leave the house without.

Here is a quick list of things I have daily:

1. Olight Arkfeld Ultra
2. Big I Design Overlook Pocket Knife
3. Big I Design Bit Bar Inline Max
4. KNIPEX Tools Cobra Pliers
5. Cherry Hill The Bullet Jr. drum key
6. Leatherman ARC multi-tool

As you can see, some of the tools do kind of repeat.

This is due to the fact that some tools I carry with me and others I keep in my daily work backpack which don't get used as often.

For example, sometimes I might need two pliers to tighten something or when I'm using my Leatherman as a different tool I have pliers and a screw driver to use on top of it.

To top it all off, having these tools helps the people around me as well, and that makes having tools like this all worth it.
