As we all know when it comes to drums, it’s the little things that can become a big problem.

Securing our headphone extender is one of those things.

Most of the time when I have seen drummers secure their headphone extender it’s normally looping it through your belt loop, sitting on it, stuffing it in your pocket, or just letting it hang.

These methods are all effective and yet we always forget to unhook and end up still pulling the extender in some way.

To solve this problem, you can gaffer-tape the headphone extender to your drum throne.

I snagged this idea from drum techs/drummers gaff taping the wireless pack onto a drum throne so the pack didn’t need to be worn by the drummer.

That gave me the idea to tape the cable onto the drum throne so that you never have to have it attacked on you again.

In addition to that, when you stand up and forget to unhook, you will only be pulling against the tape and not yanking your whole rig down.

This is just another hack that helps make your drumming experience that much easier and pleasurable.
