Steamed Hams but it's a Film Noir | Alfred Hitchcock/Orson Welles/Simpsons Parody

"Steamed Hams" is the common name for a Simpsons scene officially called "Skinner and the Superintendent." It's pretty much an old commedia dell'arte skit where Harlequin ruins the dinner and makes up increasingly dumb lies to conceal his error, the joke always being that the most ludicrous lie is what finally convinces his master of his honesty.

I recently learned about the Steamed Hams meme and had to try my own hand at it. This version is done as a film noir (ultimately, I think, it's a combined recollection of Orson Welles's "Touch of Evil" and Alfred Hitchcock's "39 Steps" and "Vertigo.") The music is Bernard Herman's wonderfully anxiety-inducing score from "Vertigo."

Originally I assembled this using only footage from The Simpsons, but all the images of guns I could find on the show didn't look right and stepped on my joke about a smoking gun in the oven, so I just animated that image myself by hand.
