Alas I know little about the life of the Ukrainian composer Vasily Prisovsky (Василий Арефиевич Присовский ,1861-1917) , except that he seems to have written some popular piano pieces for the Kyivan publisher Léon Idzikowski in the early 1900s, and also conducted the brass band of the 132 Bender Infantry Regiment - in which capacity he can be heard on this old recording: http://bit.ly/1PJRtYj .
