Théodore Lack: 20 Études d'agilité, Op.95: 17 - Allegro
Phillip Sear plays one of an 1885 set of 'studies in agility' by the French pianist and composer Théodore Lack (1846-1921).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Théodore Lack studied and later taught at the Paris Conservatoire. It was his pedagogical "Methode de piano" of 1909 that introduced Debussy's "Le petit negre" to the world. His many salon pieces are all well-crafted and full of interesting details.
To represent 'agility', my thumbnail features an image of a running cheetah from Piqsels ( tinyurl.com/yeg4n9am ).
