In the majority, the best renditions of An American Trilogy by Elvis are to be found in 1972 and 1973 with later versions more often than not taken a little less serious.
This rendition from Portland is one of the best renditions that you will ever hear with Elvis in magnificent voice. This is hardly surprising too anyone familiar with this 27 June 1973 show in The Portland Coliseum as it is probably the single best Elvis show of 1973.
