The Monthly Buzz #1: January 2021 EV News

This first foray into a new series for the channel covers EV-related news from January 2021, including the latest models, policy updates, infrastructure development, and anything else that caught our eye the previous month. We'll identify common themes and draw them together for a quick preview of the month ahead to complete each episode.

This month, we're looking at ambitious goals for EV adoption over the next 10-15 years, more investment in electrification for our home state of Massachusetts, GM's Exhibit Zero and the General's ongoing balance to go "all-in" on EVs while making most of its money on combustion vehicles. Meanwhile, a UK survey shows that EV drivers don't go back to gas en masse and almost every electric option we have is far cleaner than any combustion equivalent, while we look ahead to some of the exciting models about to be unveiled in February, including the exquisite-looking Hyundai IONIQ 5.
