EV Fast Charging: Electrify America Hits 500

This week, Electrify America passed the notable milestone of 500 EV charging locations activated in the United States. It punctuates the rapid expansion of the primarily DC fast-charging network, which started with only a handful of sites a little over two years ago.

EV fast charging has come a long way in that time and Electrify America's plan has been at the heart of that progress, although not without some hiccups along the way.

As we close out 2020, the network has the similarly aggressive target of working on another 300 stations over the next year. This video looks at current achievements, the strategy behind further expansion, and the surrounding considerations that Electrify America should be working on over the next 500 locations.
