Coffee + Kilowatts #6: EVolve NY & State-Level Funding for DC Fast Charging

Apologies for the gap in programming, but we're back with a road edition of Coffee + Kilowatts, reporting from what could be a key location for New York state's EVolve NY program in the months ahead. This is the New York Power Authority's $250 million initiative to rapidly expand access to DC fast charging across the state: https://www.nypa.gov/innovation/programs/evolveny.

In this video, we look at where the first sites will be going in around the upstate NY region and why this particular location is a bit of an oddity at first glance. Nonetheless, 4 x 150kW DCFC stations will be a welcome addition to an area that has been crying out for something... anything! - in the way of fast charging for several years now.

We also dive into neighboring states and why some funding at the state level could fail to meet the most pressing needs of EV drivers traveling in or through these areas.
