Monthly Buzz #2: Toyota's BEV Return, Kia Plan S, V2L/H Tech + More EV Charging News - Feb/Mar. '21

Back with a bumper two-month digest, it's the second installment of our news summary for recent stories related to electric vehicles, sustainable energy, and transportation technology.

This month, we look at the throughline between new EV lines and features, batteries as a storage and backup option in emergency conditions, expanding EV charging infrastructure, especially in terms of local vs. strategic national approaches to filling the gaps. (The big 2022 Bolt EV/EUV launch will get its own video this month, along with a recall update, so I deliberately left that out of this one).

***NOTE: Toyota's lack of presence in the US EV market from 2015-2020 refers to *Battery* Electric Vehicles, but they have indeed sold the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) since the discontinuation of the RAV4 BEV. Viewers can decide for themselves whether the 6,645 reported sales of that model in this period is impactful, relative to BEV progress in that time.)***
