Skit Janta pagal ho gyi hai at Xavier Utsav (GYV)

Xavier Utsav has been drawing huge fanfare. On Day 2 skit performed by 12 groups enthralled the audience at main Auditorium. Janta pagal ho gyi hai, staged by Rangmanch club was directed by Anant Kumar Gupta whereas policeman, Suveer Kumar, Neta Partha Banerjee, Janta -Bipin Rajak, Seth Sahukar- Akash Dhaka and Buddhijeevi- Om Prakash gave a toughtful presentation.
Light was managed by Navin Ji, sound by Anant Kr Gupta, Makeup by Anisha Mohanty, Zainab sultan, Nupur Bose and Debaduti Dey.
‘Traditional’ and students explored the theme with a combination of colourful dresses from all parts of India. Xavier Utsav has a legacy of many decades, and just like every year, the entire team of students have put in a lot of effort to make it successful. Xavier Utsav memorable for all,Desi colours shone bright on the first day of Xavier Utsav 2018 as thousands of students gathered at St Xavier’s College, Ranchi for one of the largest cultural fests in the capital on Wednesday. With a footfall of over 14,000 students, the first day of the three day long cultural extravaganza saw young girls decked up in fancy Sarees, flowing Lehengas and chic indo western ensembles while the boys rocked the look with Veshtis and Bandhgalas Director of Higher Education, Abu Imran was present at the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest and extended his wishes to the students on the occasion. The first day saw the flagship event VOXA (Voice of Xavier’s) which was won by Priyank Raj Sharma who captured the imagination of the audiences with his performance. Professors also took to the stage and made
the crowd shake a leg to their infectiously power packed performances, Around 45 events are scheduled to be organised across the span of three days of Xavier Utsav. Extempore, debate, poetry writing and quiz competitions were held on Wednesday while rangoli, painting, collage-making and face painting face offs are planned for the next two days.
Participants of Nukkad Natak stole the show on the first day while one act play, mimicry, mime and mono act play are on the radar to entertain theatre
enthusiasts.
