BAU Girls lodge case against VC, college adjourned sine-die (GYV)

BAU girls have lodged an FIR against vice chancellor, Dr Parmindar Kaushal for allegedly manhandling with them while they were protesting on the college campus. BAU Dean for veterinary science department adjourned classes sine-die and ordered students to vacate the campus within one hour. The students sat on dharna before the Rajbhavan on September 14 and are hopeful that the chancellor would listen to their grievances.
Students of veterinary science college under Birsa Agriculture University sat on dharna before Rajbhavan all through Thursday after spending Wednesday night at Oxygen Park in Morhabadi ground. Among those turned out of college after declaration of sine-e-die by the university management on Wednesday is a girl in advanced stage of her pregnancy who was also forced to vacate the campus. Irked over inhuman behaviour of the university administration, students sat on dharna instead of going back to their respective homes.
One of the students of veterinary science said that the students resorted to protest early this month after University administration introduced some changes in the advertisement meant for appointment of farm managers in the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) of the university. “Earlier the advertisement allowed students having degree in agriculture science and allied subjects to apply for the job but later it was changed and only those having degree in agriculture science were considered eligible for the post,” the final year student said on condition of anonymity. The change in application criteria irked students of veterinary science and forestry department who started protesting from September 4.
