California Condors (Gymnogyps californianus) Around High Peaks, Pinnacles National Park

A chilly day at Pinnacles National Park. There was snow atop the highest peaks (which ironically does not include High Peaks) and only the exertion kept me warm. Condors 692 and 463 sunned themselves for a warm-up on one of the pinnacles of Pinnacles National Park I can't name (they all have names if you can find them...Long's Folly, the Fingers, Condor Crags, Teapot Dome, the Unmentionable, Resurrection Wall, the Balconies), but it is central to the vista of that place which is in reach of so many urban spots. And it is a central meeting point for these these two (and another not quite there) condors. I feel so charmed to have been able to be close enough to these magnificent birds to capture any of this footage for as sub-standard as it may be. The rainbows and the condors were easy consolation for the shivering and the pain - a boon, almost a miracle.
