Volume training and calisthenics often go hand in hand. It's not unusual for people to build routines that consist of hundreds of reps and endless sets in an effort to fatigue the muscles.
I used to be a high volume guy, but over time I've become more concerned with ensuring I can progress my training. This usually means backing off on the volume, in some cases as much as half. What I've found is that while volume is great for fatigue, it's progression that's probably more important.
