Lion Hunting Elephant

Tourists on a safari found a juvenile elephant strolling alone near a waterhole. To see how the elephant would respond, a male lion approached it and mock-charged it. The lion hopping atop the elephant's back in the footage shows the second attempt was a legitimate attack. Once another lion joined in the game and supported the first male, the small elephant was history. On the brink of starvation, these lionesses drive this two-ton elephant to the ground and hold it down. The elephant screams in pain, and these lionesses have never attempted to kill an elephant before, despite being skilled buffalo killers.

Their attempts are clumsy and inefficient, and their teeth are unable to pierce the elephant's thick one-and-a-half-inch skin. Because his neck is too broad to choke, they attack the soft vulnerable areas. Because they are unable to kill the elephant, they begin to devour it alive. Their stamina is resurrected by their first taste of meat in nearly a month, and they fight tooth and nail for every bite. Lions and elephants are not friends, and as you can in these clips, when they meet, there are fireworks, Sometimes, when they execute a hunt to perfection, the felines can kill an elephant, and they do so in this video.

A pride of thirty lions chases this elephant during this night hunt, and the bad news for the elephant is that they are experts at hunting elephants. Lion Hunting Buffalo

The way this male lion hunts this buffalo and eventually tackles it to the ground makes him look like a superstar NFL linebacker. A friend joins the quest, although it doesn't appear his assistance will be required. In an incredible display of teamwork and strength the young breakaway pride led by its wise older female was able to bring down a huge 800kg beast of a buffalo. Hunting such prey is very dangerous but the rewards far outweigh the risk. These three females do everything in their power to bring down this buffalo. One female has climbed on the buffalo’s back and is digging a hole into the animal’s back, and the other two are biting at its leg and tail. Eventually, the buffalo can’t hold off any longer and falls to the ground.

In the open field, these lions tackle a large buffalo, and it takes all the energy in the world to bring it down. The buffalo is determined and keeps moving forward as the lions hold on to it, to try and bring it down before they eventually do. A male lion and his female companion viciously attack a lone cape buffalo, and within seconds, they take the large animal down to kill it. This is one of the quickest takedowns of a cape buffalo I have seen by two lions. In this video, five lions surround a cape buffalo and while the animal tries to brush the felines off his body, they just keep hanging on, until the weight of the buffalo is too much to bear, and he falls to the ground, where nothing will save him now.
