California Condors and Turkey Vultures - High Peaks - Pinnacles National Park
Mid-day convergence of condors above High Peaks and subsequent visits by California Condors (Gymnogyps californianus) and turkey vultures. Some of the highlights were the nine condors converging near noon, the arrival of 1031 "Iniko" later and the reunion of condors 726 "Little Stinker" and 692 - her previous mate though they'd been separated awhile - and 692's courtship dance. Only a month ago it was condor 700 courting "Little Stinker" in the same vicinity. The audio is clipped from Robert Schumann's Fantasiestücke, Op. 73 composed in 1849, as acquired from musopen.org.
