Horn Bill Eats Lizard

Hornbills are tropical birds named after their unusually large, curved bills, which are sometimes decorated with a large casque, which is a hollow structure made of keratin. In this video, two hornbills are perched on a branch, and while one of them eats a lizard, the other one watches it. The southern ground hornbill spends most of its time roaming about in groups in search of food. The hornbill prefers insects, toads, lizards, snakes, and tortoises over fruits and seeds. It also hunts mammals like hares, rodents, squirrels, and even small monkeys. The bird slices its meal with its large, curved bill and rubs slippery frogs and snails on the ground before consuming them. This video shows that all wildlife is special, and rare sightings do happen if one exercises patience. Here you can see an African Hornbill catching and eating a lizard with obvious enthusiasm! After spotting a lizard, a gray hornbill hunts the reptile down and can be seen eating high up in a tree, afterward.

Crab Plover Hunts Crab

The Crab Plover is an unusual wading bird found on tidal mudflats along the Indian Ocean's shores, coastlines, and islands. It also lives on sandy and muddy shores on mainland and island coasts, as well as intertidal sandflats, estuaries, lagoons, and exposed coral reefs. Crab Lovers congregate on beaches and reefs to hunt crabs and mollusks. Carb plovers catch their prey and pound it with their powerful beaks to break it up. They will also feed on Marine Worms and Mudskippers that have been exposed to the shore by receding tides. Wilson’s plover in this video has found a small ghost crab and is devouring it. Ghost crabs usually hunt turtle hatchlings, but this time, the hunter became the hunted. Crab Lovers are extremely friendly birds. When they’re not busy eating, they tend to be very noisy, emitting frequent 'calls', especially at breeding and wintering grounds. Their typical call is 'ka ka ka ka', which is rapidly repeated.
