Elephant VS Jackal/Brown Hyena

The jackal in this video looks like a mouse, and I think this is why the elephants are afraid of it. Their biggest fear is that the jackal jumps into their ears. The herd sticks together in this video, but when a lone jackal arrives to disturb the peace, one elephant takes matters into its own “trunk” and chases the small scavenger away. An elephant chases a brown hyena in the open field, but the scavenger, even though it’s not a cheetah, can still outrun the elephant and feel safe.

Elephant VS Ostrich

Hippos are known to be territorial, but elephants are just the same, so when an ostrich approaches a waterhole to get a drink of water, the elephant “shoos” it away. During their last game drive, wildlife enthusiasts encountered a mischievous elephant bull and female ostrich putting on quite a show! The elephant was a bit of a bully, but the ostrich stood her ground fearlessly! If the ostrich in this video survived this encounter, it will probably have been the last time it will ever get so close to an elephant. The elephant grabbed the ostrich’s neck and almost broke it in two. The elephant in this video refuses to allow this ostrich to drink at a waterhole. At first, the tall bird stands its ground, but as the large elephant approaches, it decides to retreat, but not flee. When the bird has had enough, it shows the elephant how fast it is by running in front of it. “Catch me if you can” she yells at the elephant.
