Lion VS Buffalo

The Rongai Pride hunts and attacks a mother buffalo with her newborn calf. Wildlife enthusiasts had seen the mother buffalo running in the distance while she was in labor, about to give birth. The Rongai female spotted the buffalo miles away and the lion pride slowly started to move in on them. This was a perfect opportunity for the Rongai pride, as the mother buffalo and her calf were separated from the herd. In front of dozens of safari vehicles, a pride of lions tries to take down a cape buffalo. The felines go at it one at a time, which, in my opinion, isn’t the best of strategies, and it could take forever if they don’t attack simultaneously. Lions rarely take on cape buffaloes by themselves, but this gutsy lioness went all out and chased a few of them until she latched on to the one that turned around and charged into her.

She hung on to the animal’s snout for a few minutes, until the buffalo eventually crumbled to the ground. Massive herds of buffalo, forced to leave the parched highlands in search of water are drawn like magnets to the glade. The buffalo collective is a thirsty, sprawling mass of brawn and horn. An unusual pride of lions shadows them. The Njaa. The buffalo soldier is aggressive, unpredictable, and worthy of respect. The Njaa are in tune with the nature of the herd. Their territory is enormous and their prey is constantly on the move. But for the Njaa, when their buffalo are on the move, territories have no boundaries. The Njaa have perfected the dark art of the buffalo kill. They seek out the vulnerable, the young, and the injured hiding at the heart of the herd. The Njaa will weed them out. The target is locked. Rush the soldiers forward. Spirit the young one away under the cloak of shadow and dust. An injured calf’s misfortune, one less to slow the buffalo down.

Lion/Hyena VS Eland

A lioness hides in the brush, waiting for an unsuspecting eland to walk by, before attacking it from behind. The strategy works marvelously until the eland decides to put on the burners and run for daylight, leaving the big cats in the dust. When hyenas hunt an animal that is bigger than they are, they act in a dog or wolf-like manner, hunting in packs to take down prey by biting into it and dragging it to the ground. In this case, the Eland, which is the biggest antelope in the world, may have been too big for them. This young Bull Eland was running across the field to rejoin his fellow bachelors before he was spotted by these two Lions that were taking an evening stroll, the young lion tried his luck but he wasn't successful before his mom the Lioness in the clip took full charge to the Eland and brought him down.
