Three Sisters Springs

When the water temperature drops below 68-degrees Florida Manatees are at risk of hypothermia. In order to survive they head for warm water in places like the Three Sisters Springs in Crystal River, Florida. The springs pump millions of gallons of crystal clear water into the springs where the temperature is a constant 72. As many as five-hundred manatee have been counted in the springs during cold weather days. Three Sisters Springs is open to the public from November 15 though March 31.
