Copper tubing worth over $10,000 stolen from Port-of-Spain office

Police are investigating a theft at the National Commission for Self Help Limited in Port-of-Spain, where copper tubing valued at over $10,000 was stolen on Thursday, April 9th, 2026.

According to reports, around 2:30pm C.I.D officers responded to a report at the company's office along Abercrombie Street.

Investigations revealed that a security officer secured the building, ensuring all doors and windows were locked before leaving the compound.

However, when the AC technicians arrived the following day at the location to carry out repairs on the air conditioning units, they discovered over 100 feet of copper tubing connected to the units had been removed.

Investigations into this matter are ongoing.
