Cranberry Sauce | The 5-minute Instant Pot Homemade Recipe Option!

Looking for a homemade cranberry sauce recipe? When it comes to 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐞, there are many camps as they are for gravy! And it doesn't matter how many recipes you make it. Every Thanksgiving, we are back on YouTube looking for a new cranberry sauce recipe. That is because don't matter how good your cranberry sauce is. You are never going to satisfy everyone. That is especially true if you have as eclectic family and friends as I do.

Over the years, I have always made two cranberry sauces, or should I say made a cranberry sauce and served some cranberry jelly next to it. And then I noticed that people were picking a little out of one and a little out of the others. Over the last couple of years, I started to make this hybrid recipe which consists of a classic 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐞 made with a puddle of cranberry jelly in the center. This was when you carve into it with the serving spoon; you get a little of both. Since I started to do this, my Thanksgiving guess has been delighted, and cranberry sauce consumption is way up compared to years past.

While this video will focus on the fresh cranberry sauce recipe, I will also show you the plating and hope that you give this a try!

𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

• 6 oz. of Dried Cranberries (You can use fresh cranberries just double the quantity)
• ¼ Cup of Brown Sugar
• ¼ Cup of Red Wine (Merlo is ideal, but anything not too sweet will do!)
• ½ Cup Unfiltered Apple Juice (High-Quality Florida Orange juice also works well!)
• 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐞

This is an easy 5-minute recipe that you can make days in advance since it keeps in the refrigerator very well due to the high sugar content. I am going to use the instant pot for efficiency's sake, but this is something you make on a stovetop, and I have. It just takes 20-30 minutes compared to 5!

Deposit all the ingredients in the instant pot bowl except the cornstarch. Let's make a slurpy in a small dish by mixing the cornstarch with some juice or water. One fully dissolved added to the instant pod bow and cook in pressure cook mode, on high, for 5 minutes.

If you are ready to eat, go ahead and manually vent it, making sure to cover the vent with a towel. Otherwise, let it vent naturally while you prepare the rest of the dinners. Once you are ready to serve, pour the cranberry sauce into a microwaveable dish and make a small cavity or trench in the center where you'll place slices of cranberry jelly!

Folks that is it. Cranberry sauce does not have to be complicated, and regardless of its simplicity, it beats anything store-bought any day of the week.
