Lunch in Italy. Go to a Supermarket!

If you're planning a trip to Italy and you're on a budget, I recommend going to a grocery store! It makes sense for a few reasons. When you go to the Italian supermarkets, you get a taste of the local culture and more realistic taste of Italy, if you ask me. But most importantly, you SAVE MONEY! Seriously, you'll most likely spend less getting a personalized sandwich from the deli than sitting down and having a meal. Granted this isn't a one size fits all idea, but I'm willing to bet that plenty of people would choose this option if they are looking to spend less and have more time to explore Italy. I've done this many times in the past and for me it was always a simple and satisfying experience.

1. Elite (good quality!)
2. Conad
3. Carrefour
