15 Merciless Animals That Messed With The Wrong Opponent

Messing with the wrong animal occurs often in the wild, and I say this, because, even sometimes, the easiest prey can turn a successful hunt into a nightmare. If you want to see what I mean, keep watching, because we’re getting started.

Eagle/Hawk Attack On Wrong Prey

A man and his colleagues were working at a fish farm off the coast of northern Vancouver Island when they witnessed a knock-down drag-out fight between an octopus and bald eagle and caught the battle on video. When they saw the eagle was in trouble, one of the men took a pike pole and “slowly peeled the octopus off” its prey: That gave the eagle just enough time to break free and swim to shore. The bird spent about 10 minutes gathering on the shoreline before flying off. Who would have thought that a crab could give an eagle a hard time, ask this bald eagle, and he will tell you that the crab he was trying to snatch, used his pincers to claw his way back to freedom, instead of on the eagle’s dinner table. It looks like this bird of prey attacked the wrong snake, and if it weren’t for these people removing the snake, I think the bird would have succumbed. Watch what happens when this large eagle swoops down to snatch a rabbit. The rabbit pulls a few acrobatics and summersaults and flips the bird of prey over, escaping in the process.

Elephant VS Hippo

A hippo is startled by an elephant when the massive trumpeting animal walks toward the sleepy hippo and tells it to leave. The hippo growls at the elephant at first, but it doesn’t take long before he moves away, because he understands what it means to mess with a huge elephant, even though he’s a crazy hippo. Hippos don’t like it when other animals enter their waterholes, but when a massive elephant like the one in our video decides to cross this waterhole, only one of the hippos tries biting the elephant’s tail, which actually more of a “tickle” than a bite. Elephants and hippos are both extremely territorial, so what do you think happens when they cross paths? Well, elephants are bigger, so they usually dictate things, which means that they rule. We all know how territorial hippos can become, but when this big boy decides to take a bath with the hippos, all the hippos can do is move out of the way, watch, and keep their mouth shut, even though they’re upset. These two elephants try to explain to this hippo that he’s not welcome, but the hippo informs the two large animals that they don’t own the land. Perplexed by the hippo’s comments, the elephants walk away.
