Argentinian Recipes. Empanada Recipe and Milenesas
In this episode I make some good authentic Argentinian recipes. There are 2 recipes here, an Empanada recipe and Milenesas recipe. I make these amazing traditional empanadas al cuchillo, full of delicious steak, eggs, olives and aromatics. I also make these traditional Milanesas. Again, great quality beef, served up in a beautiful way. And always I'm showing you the best in RV cooking, direct from my Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome. You don't need a fancy kitchen to cook 5 star food!
I got inspired by this book that I’ve been reading called Sobremesa. A Memoir of Food and Love in Thirteen Courses. It’s written by an Argentine American lady called Josephine Caminos Aria. I’m going to write a blog about the book itself in more detail and post that on my web site, but this is all about the food. Josephine tells us all about these classic dishes and links them to specific memories throughout her life. I super identify with this and the book. It’s a really sentimental reflection of life that unfolds through each course as we go through each chapter of the book. I think it’s a beautifully crafted reflection on family and love and how the simple and often forgotten art of gathering together for meals, passing on recipes, teaching and learning traditions, taking the time to talk and listen to those you care about is so important. This was certainly the childhood I grew up with!
And once again I show that living my Nomad minimalist lifestyle in my motorhome, anyone can make beautiful food in their RV from scratch! Recently I've met people who full time RV who didn't know you could actually make amazing food in their RV oven! You absolutely can so give it a try!!!
