The Best and Only Egg Nog Recipe You Need! Plus 6 Egg Nog Cocktails!

This is the absolute best Egg Nog recipe out there. I developed it myself over a few years. Through trial and error I developed a recipe with a lower risk of curdling, separating, and other things that can happen with a traditional recipe egg nog. This is an absolutely delicious little journey through the land of egg nog. Stay watching til the end, where I make up 6 Egg Nog cocktails!
Traditional Rum Egg Nog

Egg Nog Martini
Espresso Nog Martini
Caramelised Banana, & Graham Crumbs, Bruleed Meringue Nog!
Each of them more delicious than the last! A real feast for the senses!

Ingredients
1.5 tbsp. cornstarch
10 large egg yolks
1 cup sugar
pinch of salt
2 qt. whole milk, divided
Alcohol of your choice
1 vanilla pod split
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
4 cinnamon sticks
10 -15 cloves
1 c. heavy or whipping cream
1. In a small bowl, gradually add ½ cup cold milk to cornstarch and combine. Set aside.
2. In another bowl, combine eggs, sugar, and salt. With wire whisk, beat until blended, pale and thick.
3. In heavy saucepan, heat milk and cream to simmer. Add the milk-cornstarch mixture. Stir and reduce heat to below simmering on medium-low.
4. Temper your eggs, by gradually add heated milk mixture into the egg mixture, a ladle at a time, whisking constantly. Once 75% of the milk has been transferred, pour all the egg-and-milk mixture into the original pot, and stir. Heat on medium-low, stirring constantly, until custard slightly thickens and coats the back of a spoon well. This will be at about 93 degrees celsius or 200 F. DO NOT BOIL!
5. Pour custard into large bowl and cool quickly over ice. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled, at least 3 hours.
6. Serve in a punch bowl, or individual glasses or cocktails with your favourite Rum, spirit or liqueur.
