Easy Sourdough Starter

Making a very easy sourdough starter that I will use to make some sourdough baguettes!

I've created a really simple video. If you follow my steps you will get great results!

It doesn't need to be complicated. Half non-chlorinated water, and half unbleached flour, left in a warm place overnight is where to start. The next morning throw away half of your starter, and add the same half water / half flour mixture. Repeat twice a day for 7 days and your starter should be perfect! If you want to speed things along, try and keep your starter over room temperature, around 26 degrees. A water bath can do this and give it an extra kick to get that bacteria growing. Or you can keep it in your oven with the light on. That will speed up the process.

I used my starter to make some sourdough baguettes, which I will post shortly! So worth the effort!
