Healthy Snack Ideas - Dark Chocolate and Nuts

This is a very simple healthy snack idea that I fix myself almost every day now. It takes less than a minute to prepare and you can either eat it straight away or take it with you for the day.

It's suitable between meals without having a high carbohydrate content and it's much nicer than eating plain raw nuts, which I sometimes find is a chore.

Dark chocolate should be 70% or more, though if you go up to 90% and above it can taste very bitter.

Most nuts are healthy, I haven't tried this with seeds but Pumpkin or Sunflower seeds are healthy snacks too. The ratio of 10g dark chocolate to 25g nuts is nice, because the chocolate makes it taste so much better. I missed out Brazil Nuts which are also a great snack, they contain selenium which plenty of people don't get enough of in their diets.
