Vert Code Elite - Phase 2 Review
Having found Phase 1 very worthwhile I parted with another $28 to access Phase 2 "Load/Redirect". It follows the same pattern of Phase 1 in that there's five training days, two of which are core/balance/foot conditioning, one main jumping day and two set aside for lower body gym work.
My background is doing more strength and power training so I really liked days 1 & 5 where you spend 90-110 minutes in the gym lifting and jumping. I had minor ankle problems but nothing that impaired my sessions, though by week 4 my legs felt quite heavy and I was at least 2 inches down on my PB when I tested.
I did bring up the need for equipment and resources in phase 1 and it came up again here with the need for access to somewhere for sprints and a Swiss ball on the core day. My nearest track is 10 miles away and I'd need to pay a membership fee so I had to run on a (quiet) nearby road. He does offer alternatives for a lot of exercises but it almost feels like he's going out of his way to use a wide array of training tools instead of keeping it simple.
That's my only criticism and otherwise this feels like very advanced and beneficial programming and I'm happy to move on to Phase 3.
