How to Make a Protein Smoothie | Food Fridays | Cooking with Nick

Tonight, I will be sharing with you a special treat that I have had ritualistically nearly every night for the past few years. My casein protein shake! shakes and smoothies are super easy to make, just have a good blender. I make mine work. I used to look forward to it every night when I was working 12+ hours a day, and I hope you enjoy it too. It can be a great breakfast, or quick meal replacement as well.
INGREDIENTS
- about 2 cups of ice (can optionally use half or whole frozen banana too)
- 1/4 cup oats (optional)
- at least 1 scoop of casein (or whey) protein
- 2 tablespoons of chocolate flavored peanut butter powder (optional. can use to replace regular peanut butter if cutting)
- about 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
- honey (very optional)
- almond milk (about same amount of ice used. can use any milk of choice, or water. milk makes a better consistency)
