save money with door rubbers

Putting door seals or draft stoppers or rubbers on the bottom of your doors has to be the simplest fastest cheapest and easiest way to save money on your home electricity air conditioning or heating bills.

For years I used the round foam type of door draft stoppers but they never lasted more than a few years. These little strips of silicone rubber look like the perfect solution. Since I can put them on the interior of my door they're not exposed to the sunlight or environment outdoors and should last for years.
From the time my package came from Amazon to the time I had the rubber on my door was not more than two or three minutes. All I did was measure the rubber then cut it to the correct length remove the tape and apply the rubber seal. The door opens and closes with no additional effort needed.
If your house has a lot of new furnishings and carpets they can give off vapors and gases that can be harmful to breathe in over long periods of time. It may not be healthy to seal up tightly some homes and apartments because of this. On the other hand, my apartment is over 50 years old and has tile floors with no carpet or furnishings made with volatile glues or chemicals so I don't worry about sealing it up as much. Also, if your air is polluted outdoors this will help reduce the air coming into your house.
I am extremely happy at how easy this was to install. I also anticipate it lasting a very long time.
