Hello everyone. My name is Valentina and after the most horrible break-up of my life, I went on a quest to become a heartbreaker. I dated 5 guys all at once, but it really spun out of control.

When I was still in high school, I had this amazing boyfriend—Dean. We had a rocky period at the end of the senior year. We were fighting a lot, but then, out of nowhere, he stopped arguing and started buying me flowers every single day! It still felt like he was distant... he was reluctant to touch me. Something had changed, but I couldn’t figure out what or why. Then this one evening came that struck me to the core.

We went to this little French cafe that we liked. We were eating ice cream, I was going on and on about our future together, when I saw his hands shaking. He was looking at the bar, staring at some guys. I turned my head and saw one of them staring back at him, waving. I turned to Dean and he broke down crying. I had never seen him so sad. He took my hand and muttered, “I can’t, Valentina.” I couldn’t hear what he was trying to say ‘cause he was so out of breath until these words finally fell out of his mouth....”I’m gay.” I was devastated. He told me that he had met a guy a couple of months earlier and cheated on me! I couldn’t even listen to him anymore, I couldn’t even look at him! I took my bag and left him there sobbing.

You see, my self-esteem was always pretty low, but I felt like I was worth loving because this handsome guy was into me. But turns out, he wasn’t. I think that’s when it really went south.

As soon as I graduated, I started hunting. I had to prove to myself that I was beautiful and interesting!
