Battle Rope Double Waves | Full anatomical analysis
This rope training is great for improving upper body endurance and core strength. In addition, playing with the rope improves coordination and makes training more interesting and challenging.
The aim is to make the rope wave for a period of time.
The type of effort expended depends on the duration and intensity of the activity (rope weight and speed of movement). For example, low intensity for 5 minutes and more develops aerobic muscle capabilities. In contrast, high intensity for a short duration (half a minute to two minutes) will increase lactic acid in the muscles, which is characteristic of anaerobic lactic training.
Most of the muscles in the upper body are active.
Some are active dynamically (they appear in red and pink)
And some are active statically (light gray)
The main muscles in the movement are the shoulder flexors and extensors (in red). But the muscles that move the scapula are also working intensively, such as the trapezius and the rhomboids.
Elbow movement is minimal therefore the elbow flexors and extensors in some of the movements are active statically and in some cases are active somewhat dynamically.
The same applies to the wrist joint.
All the core muscles are active throughout the exercise for stabilizing the spine.
