Tropical Cyclone Imogen makes landfall
More than 1,000 residents in Queensland’s Gulf of Carpentaria have been left without power after Tropical Cyclone Imogen crossed land overnight.
The cyclone delivered more than 200 millimeters of rain to regional communities, with more heavy rain expected in the coming days.
The category one cyclone is predicted to weaken this morning and gradually transition to a tropical low later on Monday.
