Movement at Christmas Island ‘telling’ of how safe Australian borders are: Nick Cater
Menzies Research Institute Senior Fellow Nick Cater says Labor having to re-open Christmas Island is “really telling” of how out of control Australia's borders have become.
“This is chilling,” he told Sky News Australia host Peta Credlin in response.
“I hoped that place would never be open again.
“It just carries those terrible memories of that boat being dashed ashore at the rocks and people dying before our eyes.
“We don’t want to see this, and the fact that Labor have let our borders get out of control to a point where they are having to reopen Christmas Island really tells you something.”
