The Monkees - Down The Highway (1969)

Written by Carole King & Toni Stern. First released mistakenly titled "Michigan Blackhawk" on The Monkees album "Missing Links Volume Two". A song about escaping the speed of the city and sung wonderfully by Michael Nesmith. Recorded in the summer of 1969 and didn't see any release until 1990! The song was finally released with it's proper title on "The Monkees Present Deluxe" set by Rhino Handmade in 2013. I chose for the video to focus on the coolest TV car ever, The Monkeemobile!
