The Monkees - While I Cry (Early mono take with alternate vocals)

This song means so much to me. One of the great Michael Nesmith songs. This is an early take done on 1/14/68 in mono. This version is a lost gem that popped up on "The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees Super Deluxe Set".

Honestly, it fits my mood of late but I had to make something to show the somber mood I've been in! And yes, when I was a young boy, back in 1969, this song made me cry and it made me cry again when I saw Micky & Mike just before Mike passed. It was surreal!
