How to Position the Spine During Squats, Deadlifts, and Hip Thrusts
I filmed this video to teach people about the biomechanics of the lumbar spine, hips, and pelvis during squatting, deadlifting, and hip thrusting. Due to the differences in vectors (vertical vs horizontal), the optimal lumbopelvic hip complex mechanics will necessarily differ. You want slight anterior pelvic tilt at the bottom of a squat or deadlift, and slight posterior pelvic tilt at the top of a hip thrust. The video goes into detailed explanations as to why these are ideal. I hope you enjoy!
