Steamed Hams but it's a Rammstein music video | Der Meister Parody | Steamed Ramms(tein)

"Steamed Hams" is the common name for a Simpsons scene officially called "Skinner and the Superintendent." It's pretty much an old commedia dell'arte skit where Harlequin ruins the dinner and makes up increasingly dumb lies to conceal his error, the joke always being that the most ludicrous lie is what finally convinces his master of his honesty.

I recently learned about the Steamed Hams meme and had to try my own hand at it. This is in the style of Rammstein videos, especially Du Hast, Mein Teil and the second Du Reichst so Gut. If I were actually making a video for Rammstein I'd have shot the footage differently, but the challenge of Steamed Hams is to work with what you have. There are clips from other Simpsons episodes used to enhance the storytelling. This was probably my favorite Steamed Hams clip to edit. I chose the song because it's not only my favorite Rammstein song, but it allows the suggestion about who in the scenario is "Der Meister" and because this verse fit the Steamed Hams story so well:

Die Wahrheit ist wie ein Gewitter
es kommt zu dir du kannst es hören
es kund zu tun ist ach so bitter
es kommt zu dir um zu zerstören

I decided that fire represented the "Wahrheit" and in the "Gewitter" the white flashes of truth only occur against flashbacks and flames, whereas the darkness of lies flickers through the rest of the story.
