Failure to Launch: I Didn't Ask to be Born!
When parents try to encourage their offspring to take on more responsibility for their own lives, they sometimes get the objection that "I didn't ask to be born!" Because the parents, and not the offspring, made the decision to create a life, they retain responsibility for that life forever. Parents typically respond ineffectively to this argument. Here's how to do better.
