Hi, I'm Daniel with etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at the B&W Tow & Stow on our 2022 Ram 2500. B&W has a ton of great products, and we all know in the shop that their build quality is very good, and it's also made here in the USA, which is a plus. Now the Tow & Stow, the most notable feature is that it stows away. So if you're walking back here, you're not gonna hit your shins on this. Now I'll go ahead and take these pins out, show you how easy it is to flip this around and to get this towing. You just put those pins back at the height you need.

And the ball here has a two inch side and a 2 5/16 side, so depending on what size coupler you have. Having a rise and drop hitch like this is super versatile. In its lowest position, it's gonna have a drop of five inches, and then you can flip this whole thing around, and then you'll have a rise of 4 1/2. Now on your Ram, you probably won't be using all that rise, but it's just super nice to have because you can have that versatility if you're maybe towing with trailers that have different coupler heights, then this is gonna be super useful. If you're wondering how to set this to the proper height to make sure everything's level when you're towing, all you have to do, it's really simple, is just get a tape measure, level out your trailer, and then measure up to the bottom of that coupler, and then come to your hitch, measure to roughly right here, the bottom of the ball, and you just want that to be as equal as possible.

And then you can adjust this to how you need. Now let's get into some weight capacities. The two inch ball is gonna have a total weight capacity of 7,500 pounds total towing. So that's gonna be the trailer plus what's packed inside of it. And the 2 5/16 is gonna have a total towing of 18,000 pounds.

Now when it comes to tongue weight, just make sure you're within 10% to 15% of that total weight of your trailer when it's pushing down on the ball. Your Ram from the factory is gonna have a 2 1/2 inch hitch receiver opening, which is gonna be perfect for this B&W hitch 'cause it has a 2 1/2 inch shank. Now this will not come with a hitch pin to secure it in the hitch, but our neighbor today does have a B&W hitch pin which I would recommend getting 'cause that just locks it in place so no one can come take this 'cause this is a big investment. Overall if you're just getting into towing or if you've towed for a long time, you can't go wrong with a B&W, and you can't go wrong with an adjustable hitch 'cause it's going to fit most of your trailers. So that's been a look at the B&W Tow & Stow on our 2022 RAM 2500.
