Are Dental Microscopes actually worth it for the General Dentist?

Dental Microscopes have had their place in endodontics for a long time now. Now, more and more general dentists are considering implementing scopes in their practice... and not only for endo, but also for the ergonomic, visualization and photo / video documentation that are all at your fingertips when using a scope.

First, we'll discuss which general dentists probably shouldn't buy a dental operating microscope, and why; there are some practice styles and circumstances that preclude the effective use of a scope, and it's important to familiarize yourself with them.

Secondly, we'll discuss the reasons a general dentist might want to implement a dental microscope into their practice. The three main areas we'll touch on are ergonomics, visualization and photography / video recording.

Finally, we'll briefly touch on where the concrete financial ROI comes from when using a scope.

Let me know in the comments if you'd be interested in an online microscope course. I'm strongly considering putting one together, but want to make sure there's some interest before I do.
